“if” or maybe “=”? What is faster in python?

We did some tests few days ago. Kind of easy problem, however… it’s not so obvious. What should I do? Check if variable exists or just create this variable without checking it?

“Starting nginx: Enter PEM pass phrase:” – not any more

We generated new ssl key. This time it’s from Gigaone. I added it to site’s config file and after restart of nginx I have a message: “Starting nginx: Enter PEM pass phrase:”. Everything is fine, however I don’t want to fill my password after each restart of nginx. Time to do something with it.

Automounting doesn’t work, I need to mount manually

I don’t why, but automounting in my Ubuntu 9.10 doesn’t work. I couldn’t find any solutions, so I have to mount my usb flash drive manually.

m2eclipse: Eclipse is running in a JRE, but a JDK is required

After a while I sat to one of my old projects again… web-based JEE system to manage requirements of the projects, with maven as a system to manage this project’s dependencies. I work on eclipse, so I wanted to install plugin m2eclipse. However at the end of the installation, after restart of eclipse, I have an error: “The Maven Integration requires that Eclipse be running in a JDK, because a number of Maven core plugins are using jars from the JDK. (…)”. How to solve it?
